New Releases in Oxford
Oxford gets three new films this week and there are some fun ones!
Forbidden Kingdom is the newest Jackie Chan and Jet Li movie. Yes, we’ve seen it all before, but how many more moves does Chan have? It’ll be fun.
88 minutes is the new thriller with Al Pacino. Pacino as Dr. Jack Gramm, a FBI forensic psychologist and college professor receives an anonymous call that he has 88 minutes to live. The story sounds similar to many other plots and the real time thing has been done before in Johnny Depp’s Nick of Time, but director Jon Avnet has created some pretty good stuff, Up Close and Personal, The War, Fried Green Tomatoes and so on. However, this film has gotten some bad reviews and Pacino has made some poor choices in the past few years. So, we shall see.
