Joey Lauren Adams to Emcee Mississippi Grammy Event

Jackson, MS. (Top40 Charts/ Recording Academy) – As part of a new campaign to promote The Birthplace of Music, Governor Haley Barbour is hosting a gala event on May 29th in Jackson with performances from a variety of musicians in several genres including Paul Overstreet, Brandy, The Williams Brothers, James burton, Mavis Staples and more. The event will be a follow up to the Grammy 50th celebration held last year. This event will be at the Jackson Marriott’s Windsor ballroom. The emcee for the evening will be Oxford’s own Joey Lauren Adams, director of Come Early Morning.
